Virtual Fairways Golf League

Upcoming VF Golf League starts the week of April 16th, 2023

The Virtual Fairway’s Golf League has a format of 2-person team play. Individual teams will register to play their 9 holes at any time during operating hours Sunday-Saturday. Scores will be broken down in 3 hole increments.  Whichever teammate scores the lowest on each hole, we will use their score. Every 3 holes, you will have a winner, so the max number of points you can win in a match is 3.  If a tie happens in those 3 holes, then both teams are awarded a ½ point. You will more than likely not play with your weekly opponent; your scorecards will determine the winner of the match. Your first week you will play two 9-hole rounds. The first round is a practice round to get used to the simulators. The second round is your first week of the season. You will play a 10-week season with a mid (week 5) champion and an end (week 10) champion.  These 2 will face each in week 11 to determine an overall league champion. We will have a calendar with your opponent every week as well as the results. The results will be posted at Virtual Fairways and emailed to every player weekly. The results for the week will be available by Saturday evening every week starting week 3.

League Rules

Each team will play 9 holes or 1-hour, whichever comes first.

No new hole is to be started after 1-hour of play. Players are to finish the hole they are on when the 1-hour time limit hits. All unfinished holes will be given a double par.

Golfers will play 5 different golf courses twice, each week every team will play the same course.

We will use your average score to determine your handicap.

Subs are allowed if the registered golfer is not able to play.

Score cards must be printed and turned in at the end of each session.

Tees are only allowed to be used on the tee shot with a driver.

Pin placement is set to normal.

Weather conditions are set to default (no wind and good course conditions).

Should a shot be accidentally played or registered, a mulligan will be allowed. This is the only time mulligans are allowed. Be fair, only use a mulligan when there was a true error made by the system, or an accidental shot was recorded.

Scoring is Match Play.

USGA rules of golf apply where applicable.

Gimmies are set to 6 feet.

Golfers must play quickly, only one practice stroke before hitting.

Pay attention and know when it is your turn to hit.

Max score is double par.
